Heather Rachel, Director of Business Development

Heather is a financial sales development leader with over 15 years of sales and leadership experience. She is currently the Director of Business Development at Turning Point Management Advisors LLC.

After graduating from St. Catherine University (St. Paul, MN) with a B.S. degree in professional sales and psychology minor, Heather started her career working in Freight Forwarding as the Director of Operations at Network FOB (Eagan, MN). That path lead her into the Alternative Lending industry of Asset-Based Lending | Factoring in 2007 to Transfac Capital (Salt Lake City, UT). Heather continued her career of financing with companies including Bibby Financial Services (London, UK) and Mitsubishi HC Capital (Tokyo, Japan). Financial lending, sales and relationship building experience has allowed Heather to be a successful solution-based leader.

Prior to 2005, Heather had spent 10 years working hands on various office accounting roles for both profit and non-profit institutions including UCare Minnesota (St. Paul, MN) , and Blake School (Hopkins, MN) and has been a Notary since 1997. Heather gained a valuable basic accounting acumen which has assisted in her ability to narrow in on each clients financing needs as well as inefficiencies. In addition, her consulting and research experience provided opportunities to work with companies like Boston Scientific (Maple Grove, MN) in 2005 to assist in augmenting and maximizing their medical hiring efforts in the Pharma industry.

Through her years in working with business owners, Heather saw a need to help educate and teach simple business principles. In 2019, Heather published “The Big Plan” a book on growth strategies toward success for business owners. Her knowledge and experience have helped grow profits along with solid strategies for future growth.

Ms. Rachel is a member and the current Minnesota chapter president with the Turnaround Management Association, a board member of the RMA Minnesota Chapter and recognized in the 2022 ABF Journal as one of the top women in Asset-Based Lending.

Heather has a sincere and tenacious tenacity when it comes to helping companies achieve their goals.
