Michael Silhacek, Director

Mike is a financial management consultant with over 12 years of finance and leadership experience. He is currently a Director at Turning Point Management Advisors LLC.

After graduating from St. Johns University (Collegeville, MN) with a B.A. degree in public accounting in 2010, Mike started his career working in IT Finance at Cargill, Inc (Minneapolis, MN) and passed the CPA exam in 2011. Subsequently, Mike worked as a plant accountant for the largest printing company in the world, R.R. Donnelley and sons company (Minneapolis, MN). This manufacturing, cost accounting, and finance experience and education was extremely valuable as Mike successfully progressed throughout his career.

In 2014, Mike gained valuable manufacturing and cost accounting experience after joining a publicly held food producer, Greencore Group PLC (Shakopee, MN). Mike led initiatives to evaluate and measure product costs along with creating efficiencies in accounting processes.

In 2015, Mike joined POET, LLC (Sioux Falls, SD), the largest producer of biofuels in the world. Mike led many successful initiatives to enhance various finance systems processes including the implementation fixed asset software and forecasting software for over 30 subsidiaries of Poet LLC. Additionally, Mike oversaw the finance functions for several subsidiaries and the overall consolidation of over 50 entities. After three short years, Mike was promoted to accounting manager and began overseeing the cash applications, forecasting, and accounting/system functions of an additional subsidiary, Poet Nutrition, LLC, which sells byproducts of biofuels.

Mr. Silhacek is a member in good standing with the Turnaround Management Association and the AICPA.

As CPA with manufacturing, cash management and leadership experience, Mike has a tremendous passion for helping companies successfully revive their bottom line and cashflow.
